As we advance into the disturbing times in which we live, a lot of people are stuck in heartbreaking situations. Employees who can’t actually leave the organizations they work for are looking for ways to beat the system from the inside, in a legal and non-violent way.

Regrettably, when we ask ourselves whether people will reach a point where they’ll in fact resist what’s going on, we already know the answer in most cases: it’s a hard no.

Despite what people might say online or during a regular protest, a lot of people are not ready to do much more than wave a flag or leave remarks online. The problem is that most people aren’t aware of non-violent methods of resistance, or they try to resist using methods that are either unfeasible or inefficient.

Federal government tyranny and overreach, mass surveillance, censorship, and the complete desertion of our Charter rights have actually led to a great deal of individuals either not wanting to take action, or simply not having the ability to act. The action they do take is either totally ineffective, the wrong action to take, or it’s classified by the state as “domestic terrorism.”

The degree of freedom or tyranny under any government is in large part a reflection of the relative determination of people to be free, and their willingness and ability to resist  their governments’ efforts to oppress and enslave them.

Today, we’re going to cover the first stack of non-violent strategies you can use in your office or organization to make a difference when you’re in a sticky situation and you have no other way to resist.

The approaches we’re about to share might not be what you were expecting… so, read on, Patriot.

THE CHATTY BOSS

Talk excessively in the workplace. If you’re in charge of some employees at your workplace, you can make a lot of speeches that are utterly meaningless, use up valuable resources, and are generally a waste of your organization’s time. Nobody likes a long-winded manager or co-worker, so making subordinates sit through dull lectures not only consumes resources, but also reduces their productivity by increasing fatigue and irritability. This approach works especially well if you’re responsible for leading some type of training.

Make the training long and boring, insist that the group get through the entire session, and don’t let anyone leave early. This technique is way more effective if the training is compulsory, or concerning a social issue that would cast the worker in a negative light if they were to leave.

In today’s cancel-culture world, tons of people are afraid of being labeled a bigot or racist, so we can use this as leverage by pressuring employees to take part in useless training sessions – a training session in which the main objective is to waste time and prevent people from doing something better with the organization’s time.

THE NATURE-LOVER SCAM

Whenever possible, under the guise of wanting to “investigate the matter further,” put projects on hold.

Environmental impact studies consume a lot of time, are wide-ranging, and extremely easy to influence. Likewise, the smallest environmental impact can be blown way out of proportion, forcing project managers to spend copious amounts of resources to address the environmental impacts.

Since there are basically no tasks that are in fact neutral to the environment, the environmental impact studies tool is a valuable tool you can implement when you want to slow a project down or bring it to a complete halt for months.

THE SAFETY FREAK SCAM

Always be a stickler for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), anonymously reporting all OH&S offenses when you can. Don’t report all violations simultaneously, only report a couple at a time. By doing this, there will be a pattern of office violations for your employer.

From your organization’s viewpoint, nothing causes heartburn more than an OH&S inspector. By repeatedly calling in OH&S infractions, you can force your company to, once again, use up valuable time and resources fixing things to avoid another OH&S occurrence.

This also causes great frustration for management, further reducing efficiency.

CAPTAIN OBVIOUS

If your organization has charged you with the task of conducting analysis, you can routinely restate the obvious. Pointing out the obvious, bringing up past or irrelevant issues, and taking wild analytical leaps will confound and puzzle others collaborating with you on the project.

Once again, this murders efficiency, and might even have a “red herring” impact where colleagues are required to constantly reexamine the task, because you keep stating the obvious.

THE BOY SCOUT

No matter what, always be a stickler for procedure.

As all of us know, many businesses, agencies, political groups, lawmakers, and other entities, have an almost endless list of rules and regulations. The majority of entities have so many rules, in fact, that if a person were to try following them all, nothing would ever get done, which is perfect for us.

Always doing things by the book to the point of insanity, it will not just slow down projects to a stand-still, but it will also crush the morale of your co-workers. The latter effect, in turn, will cause its own hemorrhaging that will ripple throughout the organization. Beautiful!

“LOST IN TRANSLATION” METHOD

This one’s an old trick in the book. Pretending to not understand the language of the workplace is highly effective at both consuming resources, and also reducing others’ expectations of you. Somebody who doesn’t have a strong grasp of the English language will never be expected to prepare an excellent report or deliver a strong presentation.

Co-workers will try to assist you with communication, wasting both your and their precious time and resources.

In time, individuals will not anticipate quality production from you due to the “language barrier.” In today’s workplace, it’s something that’s increasingly tough to manage in a diplomatic method, since companies and employees alike are terrified of being cancelled, accused of discrimination, or having legal action taken against them.

THE FUSSY PERFECTIONIST

Relentlessly insist that every detail of every task be absolutely perfect. Human beings, as we all know, aren’t perfect, so labouring to achieve absolute perfection is impossible. As a consequence, a perfectionist in the workplace is mostly viewed as annoying by colleagues, and as a model employee by management.

… to put it simply, not truly a hazard that is deliberately holding up production, so this is an easier one to get away with.

If you’re in a supervisory role, turn down completed tasks a couple of times, even if there’s nothing actually wrong. Amplify and draw attention to the tiniest of imperfections. Make it a huge deal and halt that project until it’s “fixed.”

Point out subjective things, like the colour of a product and how it isn’t quite right. This will require an entity to consume even more resources to fix their supposed mistake. If your task is extremely technical, you can authorize tasks and projects that appear to be good to go, but in fact have a hidden flaw that will trigger trouble down the line. For example, you might focus on the grammar of a research paper, forcing it to be revised until it’s absolutely perfect, but the actual content of the writeup is incorrect. Ooof, what a waste : )

FATHER TIME

In today’s modern workplace, ageism is a major factor, so pretending to be older and feebler than you actually are can severely slow down production.

If you wear glasses, make sure everyone knows you can’t do anything without them. If your office if filled with younger people, there is absolutely nothing that frustrates them more than an older person who takes their time to get out their reading glasses for everything, so make the most of this unfortunate discrimination and ageism that is just a fact of life in many workplaces these days. Make it work for you, while wasting as much company time and resources as possible.

… and that’s all for now.

Are you in a position to implement any of these strategies in your workplace? Don’t underestimate their simplicity. Just one or two people in an office employing these methods can bring about strategically significant consequences for the entire organization.

Not quite ready to try these? Not to worry, Patriot. We’ve got a lot more on the way.
